Business Analyst

REPORTS TO: Managing Director
PLACE OF WORK:   Jersey, Channel Islands

Role & Responsibilities: 
As a Business Analyst at Mason Breese, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
Conducting interviews and workshops with stakeholders, documenting business needs and objectives, analysing current processes and systems, identifying gaps and areas for improvement, and prioritising requirements based on business impact.

Solution Design and Implementation:
Creating detailed functional specifications, developing use cases and user stories, participating in system design and architecture meetings, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, and coordinating with developers and testers during implementation.

Stakeholder Communication:
Facilitating discussions between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring all parties are aligned with project goals, providing regular updates on project progress, managing expectations, and addressing concerns, preparing and delivering presentations and reports.

Business Process Improvement:
Evaluating existing processes for efficiency, mapping as-is and to-be processes, implementing process changes, monitoring and measuring the impact of changes, and ensuring that improvements contribute to overall business success.

Risk Management:
Assessing potential risks associated with business changes, monitoring risks throughout the project lifecycle, reporting risks to the project manager, and ensuring mitigation plans are in place.

Quality Assurance:
Reviewing and validating solutions against requirements, conducting user acceptance testing, ensuring compliance with business standards, identifying and rectifying issues or defects, and providing feedback to improve future projects.

Key Skills and experience 

Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with project management tools and techniques.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of business process modelling and analysis techniques.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ideally BCS Diploma qualified
